Ages 8-12

Pre Competitive Group will be led by Director Kimberly Stevenson. Pre Comp dancers will be introduced to the competitive world, and will work on two routines in the year to compete during the spring competition season. We will work on a Musical Theatre and either a jazz or hip hop routine depending on the dancers in the group. This will be a great introduction to merge into our other showcase teams in the years to come!

Pre Comp dancers must take ballet and jazz. Acro is highly recommended.

Fee: $1800 plus GST

Competition Fee: $400 plus GST

Costume Fee: $170 plus GST per costume (2 costumes)

Ages 9—13

A group that is extremely fast at picking up choreography, retaining cleaning notes from week to week, and an extreme desire to work hard in all classes during the week. There needs to be a desire to excel and to create a positive working environment in and out of the studio. The working demand for this group will be very high!

Junior dancers must take ballet, hip hop, and jazz and/or contemporary. Acro is highly recommended.

Fee: $1900 plus GST

Competition Fee: $550 plus GST

Costume Fee: $170 plus GST per costume (3 costumes)

Ages 11+

A group that is experienced and skilled in jazz/contemporary, musical theatre and hip hop. A group that is extremely fast at picking up choreography, retaining cleaning notes from week to week, and an extreme desire to work hard in all classes during the week, especially in Showcase! There needs to be a desire to excel and to create a positive working environment in and out of the studio. The working demand for this group will be very high!

Intermediate dancers must take ballet, hip hop, and jazz and/or contemporary. Acro is highly recommended.

Costume Fee: $170 plus GST per costume (3 costumes)

Ages 12+

A group that will be held to a high standard and responsibility of leadership inside and outside of the studio. A group that also desires to be state changers in and out of the studio! A group that works diligently in every class and continues to set the bar higher for work ethic, attitude, and skill. A group that has a very strong desire to improve and excel as a technician and as a performer. A group that practices continually all week and does not need reminders for warm up, behaviour in a work space, and for work ethic! A group that wants to work!!!!

Senior dancers must take ballet, hip hop, and jazz and/or contemporary. Acro is highly recommended.

Must be available for rehearsals Aug 26-29 from 10am-3pm.

Tuition: $2500 plus GST

Ages 8+

Our Junior Hip Hop Team will be led by the incredible Chris Bonus! He has choreographed for elite competitions such as Body Rock, VIBE, Hip Hop Internationals, and World Of Dance. Chris has taught all over BC, as well as Edmonton, Calgary, Oslo, and LA and continues to share his work with the rest of the world. Chris has developed a unique style of teaching and choreographing that inspires and encourages all dancers.

This team will be focusing on an incredible hip hop routine incorporating foundations in all street styles and eye catching choreography that Chris Bonus is known for. Your dancer will need to be ready to work very hard, retain choreography week to week, remember cleaning notes and changes made from one rehearsal to the other and be a positive influence and leader within The Happening Community. 

Junior Hip Hop team dancers must take a minimum of 2 hip hop or street dance styles per week at The Happening.

Tuition: $1800 plus GST

Competition Fee: $250 per dancer (competing at 4 competitions)

Costume Fee: $170 plus GST per dancer

Ages 12+

Our Senior Hip Hop Team will be led by the incredible Chris Bonus! He has choreographed for elite competitions such as Body Rock, VIBE, Hip Hop Internationals, and World Of Dance. Chris has taught all over BC, as well as Edmonton, Calgary, Oslo, and LA and continues to share his work with the rest of the world. Chris has developed a unique style of teaching and choreographing that inspires and encourages all dancers.

This team will be focusing on an incredible hip hop routine incorporating foundations in all street styles and eye catching choreography that Chris Bonus is known for. The bar for a Senior member will be set very high; they will have to have the mentality of always wanting to level up in their training in class- we would want them attending workshops, attending battles, entering battles as a dancer, and just be all around eager and hungry to get better and support teammates around them to also want to improve and work hard. They will need to remember choreography week to week (along with timing/textures/choreography,) remember cleaning notes and changes made from one rehearsal to the other and be a positive influence and leader within The Happening Community. I should be able to tell you are a Senior team member at our studio!
