9 Week Semester Classes

Semester Classes run in the Fall, Winter, and Spring for 9 consecutive weeks.

  • Adult Classes

    Ages 20+

    In Hip Hop there is a focus on connecting to the music and lyrics, and exuding confidence and flair. This emphasis on attitude, personal style, and musicality makes Hip Hop effortlessly fun.

  • Contemporary 1A

    Ages 7-11

    Contemporary has become one of the most dominant forms of dance for professional dancers. It is constantly evolving; students will experiment with partnering, floor work, and creative tools, using all the techniques of dance in one class. This ever changing style of dance blends traditional technique from ballet and jazz, with a focus on expressing emotionality through movement and breath. Improvisation, versatility, and floor work are important elements of contemporary dance.

  • Beginner Hip Hop

    Ages 7-11

    Hip Hop is a range of street dance styles, made popular by dance crews in the 1970’s. It has taken off enormously in popularity thanks to its prevalence in TV shows, music videos, and movies. This fun, high-energy dance style allows the dancer to break away from the structure and traditional technique of classical dance.

  • Creative Play

    Ages 2.5—3.5

    Focus on Gross motor skills, dance class behaviour and imaginative play through stories & movement. Parents stay for the first few weeks with the goal for the dancer to be on their own by the last few sessions. Ideal for a first time group class experience.

  • Creative Dance

    Ages 3.5—4

    Focus on gross and fine motor skills, learning fun new dance moves and phrases while exploring stories and music. Parents will not be present during this class.

  • Broadway class with dancers

    Broadway

    Ages 7-12

    Have you ever dreamed to learn how to sing and dance to your favourite musicals? This class you will be doing just that! You will be learning basic singing skills with choreography to dance and sing along to your favourite tunes.

  • Ballet & Acro

    Ages 4-6

    Students will be introduced to the foundational elements and technique of ballet through music, movement, and stories while developing the strength and flexibility to be introduced to acrodance. They will be learning the very basics of tumbling.

  • Acro - Intro and Intermediate

    Ages 7+

    As the world of dance evolves, we see a trend to include acrodance in dance education. The focus is to increase strength, balance and flexibility for the dancer during their weekly class as well as to develop a repertoire of acrobatics that can be added to other genres.
